Our Knox Seasoned Citizens enjoyed another fun year together with an interesting variety of events attended.  Several of us started our year by attending Janice Borlo’s Jazz Concert in Madden Theater at Wentz Hall. (She is definitely a favorite of ours!) In February we attended Sandi Patti’s Farewell Concert at the Yellow Box Church in Naperville. In March we went to the DuPage Symphony Orchestra’s concert “Gershwin Greats.” We all agreed it was one of the best performances we’ve ever seen, anywhere! April took us to the Naperville Municipal Band’s Spring Concert at Wentz.

Our summer events included Summer Place Theater’s production of “Father of the Bride” in July and then the Wheaton Pop’s “Cole Porter” Concert at Glenbard South High School in August. The Cole Porter concert was really fabulous!

Another delightful event we attended at the Yellow Box Church in October was the Singing for Seniors “Three Men and a Tenor” concert. What an absolutely delightful afternoon with these four talented men from Michigan!

Our final event of the year was probably the hightlight—as we traveled to Oakbrook the end of November for a delicious holiday lunch at Drury Lane followed by their spirited matinee performance of “42nd Street!”
